This is a tourist and exchange facility themed around the Akita Inu, located in Ōdate Station. At the main entrance is a statue of Hachiko, who celebrated his 100th birthday in 2023. The facility also includes a museum where you can learn about Akita Inu dogs and an exhibition room where you can see real Akita Inu dogs. You can also purchase local Odate specialties and Akita Inu-related souvenirs.

Designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma, this unique facility incorporates materials and techniques from Akita Prefecture. It encapsulates the charm of the Oyu Onsen area, featuring a footbath, a hot spring wading pool, a cafe where you can enjoy local Kazuno cuisine, and a market selling agricultural products and processed goods.

There are no explanatory signs within the ruins, as the aim is for visitors to see the stone circle, which has been here for 4,000 years, with their own eyes and feel the atmosphere on their skin. The Kakunodate Cherry Bark Craft Museum opened in September 1978 (Showa 53) with two missions: to promote cherry bark crafts, a traditional craft of the former Kakunodate town, and to serve as a base facility for regional tourism. The building incorporates the old architectural style of Kakunodate into a modern setting. Inside, there are various exhibits, including exhibition rooms for crafts, culture, and historical materials, as well as cherry bark craft demonstrations, a local products exhibition room, and a tea room.
