This arrangement will continue at least through July, and further updates regarding operations from August onward will be announced separately.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to our passengers.
In addition, we are increasing the frequency of the 'Yamabiko' service, which operates with 17 cars. For downward trains, if you use cars 11 to 17, it will be convenient for transferring to the downward 'Tsubasa' service at Fukushima Station.
Please check here for the transfer method at Fukushima Station.
>[Transfer Information at Fukushima Station]
Additionally, starting from Saturday, July 19, we will expand the operation of direct trains between Tokyo and Yamagata/Shinjo to 3 round trips without transfers. Furthermore, all 'Tsubasa' trains will be moved to arrive and depart from the Shinkansen platform, alleviating the inconvenience for passengers who have to transfer from the conventional line platform. Please note that after July 19, there will also be some changes to the 'Tsubasa' trains that turn around at Fukushima Station and the connecting 'Yamabiko' trains. We have announced the operation plans up to July 31. For detailed operation plans of each 'Tsubasa' train and the connecting 'Yamabiko' trains by date, please refer to the provided links.
※ Cars 11 to 17 of some 17-car Yamabiko trains are reserved seats.
Please note that the reserved seats for the 'Tsubasa' train from July 22 (Tuesday) to July 31 (Thursday), as well as some 'Yamabiko' trains, will go on sale starting from 5:00 AM on the 18th (Friday). We will inform you about the operational plans after August 1 (Friday) as soon as they are decided.
