Shibamata Area

Our first stop is the Shibamata area, part of“ shitamachi ” -the old-school east side of Tokyo that retains-intriguing historical atmosphere. Here, stroll along an old-fashioned shopping street on the approach to Taishakuten Temple, and enjoy kusa mochi sweets and handmade manju steamed buns. Using your Tokyo Metropolitan District Pass, visit Shibamata by train to enjoy timeless local scenery and culinary specialties in this classic Tokyo neighborhood.

The approach to Taishakuten Temple is a trip back in time.

Shibamata Haikara Yokocho is a retro shop full of old school sweets, pinball tables, toys and more.

Senbei rice crackers and kusa mochi sweets are a must in Shibamata.

Our next stop is the landmark SHIBUYA SKY in Tokyo’s trendy, stylish city center. Located on the rooftop of the Shibuya Scramble Square building, this observation deck offers 360-degree panoramic views, and on clear days, you can see Mt. Fuji in the distance. SHIBUYA SKY has become quite popular, and also offers views of Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree and the whole Shibuya area. The glittering night views from up here are especially memorable and romantic.
