In association with Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido), East Japan Railway Company (JR East), Central Japan Railway Company (JR Tokai), West Japan Railway Company (JR West), Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu), and Keikyu Corporation (Keikyu), Seven-Eleven Japan Co., Ltd., a major subsidiary of Seven & i Holdings Co., Ltd., will start accepting payment and charge by using each regional transportation e-money service of regional railway companies. This service will be available from Friday, March 18th, 2011 at all of Seven-Eleven’s 13,232 stores (as of the end of February 2011).

To mark the introduction of these services, Seven-Eleven stores have launched a "Touch to Buy and Win Campaign" in which a total of 5,000 customers using these transportation services can win ceramic spoon & bowl sets and handkerchief sets featuring the mascots associated with each of the transportation IC cards, as well as other great prizes. The campaign runs from Friday, March 18th, through Thursday, April 14th. (See below for more details.)

In addition to the original Seven-Eleven e-money "nanako", Seven-Eleven stores already accept a variety of other e-money. Adding to this list the regional-based transportation e-money services that can also be used for railways throughout Japan is expected to further increase the e-money purchases at Seven-Eleven stores.

Each regional railway company will also benefit from the partnership by gaining access to the network of Seven-Eleven stores and customer base to offer further convenience to their customers who use their transportation e-money services.
