The "Hayabusa" will debut on the Tohoku Shinkansen March 5, 2011. The  “Hayabusa” will travel between Tokyo  and Shin-Aomori in just 3 hours and 10 minutes (fastest train). Seats in all  cars are by reservation.
East Japan Railway Company (JR East) applied  today to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to set express train  charges for the "Hayabusa" to take effect when service begins. The express train  charges for major sections are 7,000 yen from Tokyo to Shin-Aomori, 5,110 yen from Tokyo to Sendai and 4,810 yen from Sendai to Shin-Aomori (adult passenger,  reserved seat during normal season).
					We have additionally set charges for  the new Shinkansen grade, "GranClass," and today notified the  relevant transportation bureau director. The charge for using "GranClass" will be 19,380 yen from Tokyo to Sendai and 26,360 yen from Tokyo to Shin-Aomori (this is the total of  the basic fare, express train charge and "GranClass" charge).
