09渋谷駅周辺地域においては、災害に強く、めぐり歩いて楽しい国際的な観光文化都市「渋谷」の実現を目的に、交通結節点機能の強化を図り、渋谷駅の機能更新と再編、駅ビルの再開発と一体的な都市基盤の整備を行う。国際都市横浜の玄関口にふさわしい魅力とにぎわい■れる駅ビルが開業。4層吹抜けのアトリウム空間は、交通結節点の要所であると共に地域コミュニティの交流の場ともなる。災害時を想定した防災センター・地域総合防災拠点も整備された。渋谷駅拠点駅の整備・開発横浜駅Maintaining and developing terminal stations 首都圏のターミナル駅や地方中核駅において大規模な改良工事を進めています。線路上空に大規模な人工地盤を構築して、乗り換えの利便性向上や混雑の緩和、バリアフリー設備の整備や安全性向上を図っているほか、自治体や他の事業者とも協力しながら駅周辺開発を行い、駅と周辺地域との調和と価値向上をめざしています。JR East is undertaking large-scale renovation projects at terminal stations in the Tokyo metropolitan area and at regional hub stations. Large-scale artificial ground is built above our tracks to make transfers more convenient, relieve congestion, prepare barrier-free facilities, and enhance safety. We work closely with local governments and other operators to develop areas around rail stations as JR East seeks to keep its stations and the surrounding community in harmony with each other and enhance value.拠点駅の整備・開発
