07新宿駅南口におけるタクシースペースの不足や鉄道とバスの乗換利便性などの課題に対し、国道20号跨線橋架替の際に構築した人工地盤を活用。その上部に2階を駅施設、3階をタクシー施設、4階を高速バス施設とした多層複合の交通結節点を構築した。『大地を重ねる』をコンセプトに、開放的で視認性の高い空間とするとともに、バリアフリー動線を整備。鉄道からバス・タクシーへの乗換利便性が大幅に向上した。新宿駅基盤整備（交通結節点）新宿駅基盤整備Preparing the foundation at Shinjuku Station 国・自治体との共同事業により、新宿駅南口の線路上空に人工地盤を構築。鉄道と道路の連携により、交通インフラが集積した多層構造の交通結節点が完成しました。またその東側には、賃貸オフィス・商業施設・文化交流施設からなる複合施設が完成。交通結節点と合わせ、新宿南口エリアに新たな回遊性を生み出しました。In a joint project with the national and local government, JR East has built artificial ground above the tracks at the South Gate of Shinjuku Station. Connecting rails to streets brought the transportation infrastructure together, completing this multi-layer transit node. Moreover, a complex consisting of offices for lease, commercial facilities, and a cultural exchange facility has been completed on the east side of the gate. This, in combination with the transit node, has given people a new way to move and wander through the South Gate area of Shinjuku Station.新宿駅基盤整備
