Welcome Suica Mobile offers the "Touch de Go! Shinkansen" service, allowing you to board non-reserved seats on the Shinkansen in the JR East area without needing a reservation, just by tapping your device.
No need to get in line at the ticket counter!
Use the app to board non-reserved seats on Shinkansen trains in the JR East area.
GALA Yuzawa (Seasonal) Station is available only when the Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort is operating.
The app can be used between Shinkansen stations.
Please note that this service is not available in some areas.
Non-reserved seats only
Tohoku Shinkansen "Hayabusa" and "Hayate" trains, Akita Shinkansen "Komachi" train, and Yamagata Shinkansen "Tsubasa" train will operate with all reserved seats. (There are no non-reserved seats.)
All trains between Morioka and Shin-Aomori, Morioka and Akita, and Fukushima and Shinjo will be all-reserved seats. However, you may use vacant reserved seats if you're traveling only within the routes.
If you're traveling between Sendai and Morioka, you can also use any available reserved seats of the Hayabusa, Hayate, or Komachi trains, as long as the trains stops at stations along the way.
The service cannot be used in the following cases
When boarding a train that passes through Morioka Station (Between Tokyo to Shin-Aomori, Tokyo to Akita)
When boarding a train that passes through Fukushima Station (Between Tokyo to Shinjo)
When transferring at Morioka Station and boarding a train between Shin-Aomori and Akita.
When transferring at Omiya Station and boarding a train between Shin-Aomori and Takasaki.
When transferring at Fukushima Station and boarding a train bound between Shin-Aomori and Shinjo.
When transferring at Takasaki Station and boarding a train between Niigata and Joetsumyoko.
When transferring at Echigo-Yuzawa Station and boarding a train bound between Niigata and GALA Yuzawa.

When boarding a local train at a conventional station within the valid Suica area and your final stop, after using the Shinkansen, is also within the Suica area
Enter from conventional train stations
Enter through the Shinkansen ticket gate, and the IC card balance will automatically calculate the conventional train fare from the boarding station to the Shinkansen station.
Exit through the Shinkansen ticket gate, and the fare for “Touch de Go! Shinkansen” is automatically deducted from your IC card balance.
Entry information for conventional stations is logged.
The conventional train fare from the Shinkansen arrival station is automatically deducted from your IC card balance when exiting.
Example
If you board a conventional train with a physical ticket and also use it to exit at your final stop after traveling on the Shinkansen
(Outside the Suica valid area, etc.) Enter with a physical ticket from the conventional train station to the Shinkansen boarding station.
First, insert the physical ticket used up to the Shinkansen boarding station into the ticket gate. Then, tap the IC card on the reader to enter the Shinkansen gate.
Insert the physical ticket used up to the conventional train stations. The fare for "Touch de Go! Shinkansen" is deducted from the remaining balance on your IC card once you exit through the Shinkansen gate.
Getting off with your ticket
When using “Touch de Go! Shinkansen” to transfer between the Shinkansen and conventional trains, the fare may be higher than if you were to travel with a physical ticket depending on the section you board.
