Explore Hirosaki Castle, which has the northernmost castle tower
in Japan.

Hirosaki Castle, renowned as the only castle in Tohoku with a castle tower, is a must-see tourist spot in Aomori. The castle with the magnificent backdrop of Mt. Iwaki, also known as Tsugaru Fuji, has breathtaking scenery that can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons.

In spring, cherry petals flutter in Hirosaki Park and cover the surface of the castle's moat. The breathtaking view of the Hanaikada, where the water's surface turns into a pink carpet, produces a fantastic atmosphere. There are plenty of seasonal events to enjoy throughout the year, such as the Cherry Blossom Festival in the spring, the Chrysanthemum and Autumn Foliage Festival in the fall, and the Snow Lantern Festival in the winter.
