Our hotel rents out one of three storehouses - the Nishinomiya Bushigura, the Nishinomiya Gakkogura, and the Tanmonogura - so you can enjoy a private space.
The three storehouses are: "Nishinomiya Family Bushigura," which displays books that were actually kept by the Nishinomiya family, who were once famous samurai in the area, as well as replicas of swords and armor reminiscent of samurai; "Nishinomiya Family Gakkogura," a renovated storehouse that was used to store gakko (pickles) and is dotted with items and motifs related to pickles; and "Tamonogura," which is located in a convenient tourist spot just before Buke Yashiki Street and displays bolts of cloth and tools.
Enjoy an extraordinary stay in Kakunodate while experiencing Japanese life and traditions.
POINT1
The bathtub is designed with a pickle barrel motif. From the bathroom window you can enjoy seasonal scenery, such as cherry blossoms in spring and snowy landscapes in winter.
POINT 2
The rice and miso used are locally produced in Akita Prefecture, and a bento-style breakfast will be delivered to your room.
POINT3
Although it is a renovated historic storehouse, it is equipped with Wi-Fi and underfloor heating, allowing you to relax in comfort.
