INTERVIEW

  • Question.01

What are you responsible for at work?

I am in charge of the design work of the Sukagawa Station free passage maintenance and the station building on the bridge. As a power distribution project to make the entire Sukagawa station easier to use and revitalize, we are coordinating and cooperating with Sukagawa city, construction, machinery, communication system, and many other people to create a single station.

  • Question.02

What is the most rewarding/interesting part of your current job?

The station improvement that I am designing is not only for power distribution system, but also for cooperating with people from various systems.
In the middle of construction, we exchange various opinions with each other, and we all share opinions and create one thing.
No matter how many times you taste the sense of accomplishment, the moment the station opens, it is always wonderful.
I find it rewarding to be able to do work that leaves the station I designed in a tangible form.
I also find it interesting to create something as big as a train station out of nothing.

  • Question.03

Please tell us about your childcare leave experience.
    Did you have any concerns?

When I gave birth to my first child, there was no one around me who had given birth yet, so I was prepared to face difficulty when I go back to work, but it turned out to be surprisingly fun.
There are times when I can choose to work flexibly, but I was able to return to work with peace of mind because of the support and understanding of those around me.
With my second child, I couldn't put him in nursery school, so I consulted with my boss and was able to extend the childcare leave from the first year to three years.
There are many male employees who have taken childcare leave or are flexibly raising children, so I have no worries about working while raising children.

  • Question.04

Please tell us frankly about the work-life balance of Electrical System Integration office.

Electrical System Integration office makes it easy to use flextime and telecommuting, and flexible work styles are possible. In addition, during the summer vacation and year-end and New Year holidays, it is easy for everyone to take paid leave, so you can spend time with your family. Electrical System Integration office work is divided into parts that are carried out by teams and parts that are carried out by individual progress management. Design is often managed by individuals, so it is possible to proceed at your own pace. Since there is a time constraint, I have become able to proceed with deciding work priorities and time allocation efficiently as the number of children increases.

  • Question.05
