    What are you responsible for at work?

    I manage functional specification for generic electronic interlocking equipment. Generic electronic interlocking equipment is control system for signal light and railway switch, so it is a necessity for train operation. The system also makes time-distance diagram automatically. In addition to managing the functional specification, I’m also in charge of reviewing the drawing for necessary for equipment manufacturing.

    What is the most rewarding/interesting part of your current job?

    Since generic electronic interlocking equipment is an important equipment for train operation, I have to consider safe and stable operation constantly, so the work carries big responsibility, but also rewarding. In addition, since technology is an accumulation of experience and knowledge cultivated by our predecessors, it is interesting to be able to learn about the past by understanding the essence of each experience.

    Please tell us about the most memorable task you have done so far.

    The rail switchover construction at Koshukaido in Shinjuku, where I was in charge of during my 4th-6th year left a big impression. Since Shinjuku is station with the highest number of passengers in JRE, I felt a big responsibility for construction design work and management, and I worked with a sense of responsibility because I am trusted with the construction of such a large station. I felt great sense of reward and achievement when the rail switchover project was completed.

    Please tell us about your dreams and visions for the future!

    I want to deepen my technical capabilities especially regarding generic electronic interlocking equipment.
    I would like to continue to learn about generic electronic interlocking equipment, and I want to become a unique parson, not only in ESIO but also JRE, and I want to contribute to the company.

    Advice for job-hunting students!

    There is almost no learning about railway’s technology at school. And I think it is an unknown world and you can be anxious about it. However, please be assured that there will be many training and lectures after joining us. I think that when you come into contact with the technology of the railway, you will be able to notice the depth and fun of it, so please give it a try.

I basically spend time with family, example play soccer with my child and shopping with my wife.
