We set standard and specifications related to the performance of equipment and components to ensure the safe operation of railways.
We confirm the safety of facilities and construction through the review of technical assessment reports and control diagrams in electrical facility construction.
We provide education and guidance when introducing new technologies such as point cloud capture, BIM/CIM(Building Information Modeling/Construction Information Modeling), and the latest IP technology.
*BIM/CIM can realize centralized management by assorting shape and size data of objects with specifications such as material properties and attributes.
We are promoting the international standardization of our company’s electrical division, aiming to boost the overseas environment where we can construct railway systems based on Japanese standards.
1.In consideration of introducing the next-generation train operating systems, we will review the optimization of facilities based on the power supply capacity.
2.By investigating the cause of accidents and failures of electrical facilities and studying countermeasures, we aim to realize more secure railway service.
3.We will evolve from current human-eye-based visual inspection to the next –generation maintenance inspection of facilities by utilizing technologies such as image and sensor technologies, point cloud data and drone footage.
Maintenance using UAV.
1.We research the trends of new products and technologies both domestically and internationally while appropriately evaluate their performance and long-term reliability. By introducing these technologies, we will propose sustainable railway facilities for the future.
2.We will provide technical support to address construction challenges in electrical facilities, ensuring safe and high-quality construction practices.
3.Through various technological studies, training programs, and collaborations with external partners, we will nurture electrical engineers with a wide range of expertise and deep specialization.
Support for the inspection of the DC substation
We engage in following activities:
1.Realization of GNSS wireless level crossing control system.
2.Development and implementation of systems for Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) and next-generation maintenance.
3.Investigation of the causes and countermeasures of malfunctions, and examination for the introduction of new systems.
4.Transformation of various tasks using AI technology.
5.Technical standard management, smart maintenance, and research and development support related to Shinkansen.
We plan and study specifications for communication systems such as digital train radio system, Prevention of disaster alarm system (PreDAS), and Shinkansen CIC*.
* Shinkansen CIC: A system that collects and manages disaster prevention information and the status of signal communication equipment along the Shinkansen line in real time, and monitors and controls the status of the system.
We plan various type of networks, develop human resources for network administrators, provide technical support in the event of a failure, and remotely manage network status and change settings.
*Network literacy: A team that can utilize the network correctly and appropriately.
