The Electrical System Integration Office (ESIO) is JR East’s only office specializing in electrical work.

Our team of railway specialists handles everything from investment research, consulting, project planning and design to construction management for electrical systems throughout the JR East area.
As the organization in charge of JR East’s electrical work, it’s our job to build the infrastructure of JR East, from the stations where passengers board and exit the trains and the electrical equipment around the tracks the trains run on, to other systems that ensure operational safety. Our goal is to establish safe and secure travel through our work.
