Regarding the use of Green Cars on local trains
For the suspended section of the Yokosuka Line between Tokyo and Shinagawa, you can transfer to Green Car on the parallel Tokaido Line /Ueno-Tokyo Line.
- Example: When using a Green Ticket between Funabashi and Kamakura, you can transfer to Green Car such as Tokaido Line between Tokyo and Shinagawa.
When transferring to another train using Suica Green Car Ticket, please note that you will need to touch the 'Green Ticket Information Reader' on board before and after your transfer. - You can also travel between Tokyo and Shinagawa by transferring between the Yamanote Line and the Keihin-Keihin-Tohoku Line, but there will be no refund for the Green Car fare for that section.
- Please note that the fare will differ depending on whether you purchase a Green Car ticket for the section where service is suspended or for the entire route.
