Improving Safety Levels Across the Entire Group

The Company, Group companies, partner companies, and affiliated companies have worked together to build JR East Safety Network (JES-Net). (86 companies have joined it). In line with the promotion of business management based on the dual axes of Mobility and Lifestyle Solutions, JES-Net established separate subcommittees for each area.
In order to improve safety levels, the two subcommittees share issues and good practices, as well as promote initiatives for improvement, through confirmations of work in which actual work is observed and opinions are exchanged. Going forward, we will improve the safety levels of the entire Group by aligning values and direction regarding safety, strengthening collaboration, and promoting safety initiatives.

In both Mobility, which supports travel, and Lifestyle Solutions, which supports daily life, we established in FY2027.3 a new KPI of “100% Implementation percentage for disaster response drills at JR East and Group companies.” This is aimed at promoting initiatives that are aligned with the disaster prevention plans of each company, with a view to delivering safety and security to our customers even in the event of a disaster.
We will pursue ultimate safety through the dual axes of Mobility and Lifestyle Solutions.

To further enhance safety in the JR East Group, each year we hold the Safety Symposium. We strive to gain knowledge through lectures and discussions by local experts and share examples of good practice at workplaces.
