| JR East is working to improve customer service by increasing Shinkansen train speeds. A high-speed experimental train—FASTECH 360S for Shinkansen lines—was used for high-speed test runs from fiscal 2005 to 2009, and we have applied test results to the production lead cars of E5 series Shinkansen trains. |
