JR-EAST Train Info is an application that provides useful information to people who use JR EAST trains.
<Notice>
Due to the Fukushima earthquake that occurred on February 13th, the Tohoku-Hokkaido Shinkansen had to suspend operation in some sections.
Since restoration work and safety have been ensured in all sections, operation has resumed on all lines from February 24th.
For the time being, it will be necessary to slow down between Nasushiobara and Ichinoseki Station, so we will drive on a temporary schedule.
With the temporary timetable, the number of trains is about 80% of the normal timetable, which takes longer than the normal timetable (an increase of about 1 hour from Tokyo to Sendai / Morioka).
In addition, the Yamagata Shinkansen and Akita Shinkansen have resumed direct operation to the Tokyo area, but the Hokkaido Shinkansen will return to Shin-Aomori Station except for some trains.
This is a request from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare regarding the New Coronavirus infection control measures.
Easing the congestion level in trains is an effective method to stop the spread of the virus. This is the reason why we our asking our customers to actively consider applying methods such as telework and commuting outside of the rush hour etc. Washing hands, disinfecting with alcohol and the coughing etiquette are the basic infection prevention methods. For this reason we are asking all our customer to cooperate by following these prevention methods within the station premises and inside the train.
