About Suica
Smooth travel in Greater Tokyo with a Suica card
Suica can only be used in the area shown below.
Please purchase a ticket in advance when you travel outside of this area.
- Suica is a JR EAST prepaid IC card that allows you to ride trains without purchasing a ticket every time.
- With just one quick touch, you can pass through ticket gates and your fare is automatically deducted.
- An original design for customers from overseas.
- Can be used in JR EAST stations in Greater Tokyo.
Can also be used in the Sendai, Niigata, Nagoya, Shizuoka, Kansai, Okayama, and Hiroshima areas.
- Can be used as e-money at a number of establishments in Narita Airport and stores/vending machines that feature
in JR EAST stations.
- Can also be used for travel on most railways, subways, and buses in Greater Tokyo.
- Can be recharged and used an unlimited number of times (however, only Japanese yen can be used and credit cards cannot be used).
- You can take your card home as a souvenir and use it on your next trip to Japan (for a period of 10 years after the last usage).

Returns for unused Suica fares are accepted at all ticket offices where Suica is available (a ¥210 service charge will apply; the ¥500 deposit will also be returned). |
