Nozawa Onsen has more than 30 hot springs and 13 community bathhouses. All of the community bathhouses are 100 percent natural spring water, cleaned and managed daily by the local people. Soak in the hot water with the locals, and immerse yourself in the traditional hot spring culture, which developed in the Edo Period and has been maintained to this day.
