The view of the cherry blossom trees along with Hirosaki Castle is known for its beauty, and the cherry blossom trees seem magical when lit up at night.

The city of Hirosaki has preserved many older buildings, some built as early as the seventeenth century, and strolling through the town while looking at the cherry blossom trees is a pleasant way to enjoy the town.

Around the samurai mansions of Kakunodate, the weeping cherry blossom trees, or shidare-zakura, are popular.
Earning the nickname "Little Kyoto" for its townscape, Kakunodate makes you feel as though you have traveled back in time to enjoy the cherry blossoms in the Edo Period.

Tenshochi is known for its enormous expanse of cherry blossom trees, with some 10,000 trees over a two-kilometer stretch.
Along with Hirosaki and Kakunodate, Kitakami and Tenshochi are referred to as one of the three great locations for cherry blossom trees in Michinoku, the ancient name for the greater region.
