Start of the Service for Android™ Smartphones Supporting Osaifu-Keitai®

Starting Saturday, July 23, 2011, "Mobile Suica" service will begin for Android™ smartphones by NTT DOCOMO, Inc., KDDI Corporation and SoftBank Mobile Corp. supporting Osaifu-Keitai® services.

East Japan Railway Company (President Satoshi Seino; head office Shibuya–ku, Tokyo; hereinafter referred to as JR East) will launch "Mobile Suica"*1 service for Android™ smartphones by NTT DOCOMO, Inc., KDDI Corporation and SoftBank Mobile Corp. supporting Osaifu-Keitai® (hereinafter referred to as Android smartphones) starting Saturday, July 23, 2011.
Because we anticipate heavy traffic on the service launch date, the Mobile Suica application program will be made available starting at different times for customers of each telecommunications company. Mobile phone models for which the application will be available will be separately announced on our web site at about the end of June 2011.

    Express Yoyaku (reservation service by Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central))
      Express Yoyaku by Mobile Suica (EX-IC service) will begin the same day on Android smartphones.
