Beginning on July 1, 2008, visitors to Japan will be able to use the JR EAST PASS with even more flexibility and convenience. Visitors with a JR EAST PASS can now use the following train routes in addition to all JR East lines, at no additional cost.
Pass holders will be able to use Odoriko and Super-View Odoriko limited express trains from Tokyo and Shinjuku to Izukyu-Shimoda, and can also use local trains on the Izu Kyuko Line.
Pass holders will be able to use Hakutaka limited express trains from Echigoyuzawa to Naoetsu, and also local trains on the Hokuetsu Kyuko Line.
Pass holders will be able to use Nikko, Spacia Nikko, Kinugawa, and Spacia Kinugawa limited express trains from Shinjuku to Tobu Nikko Station and Tobu Kinugawa Onsen Station. They also can use Tobu Railway local trains from Shimoimaichi to Tobu Nikko and Kinugawa Onsen. (Local trains between Kurihashi and Shimoimaichi are not included.)

• Other | In line with the expansion of the JR EAST PASS Free Area, the special passes offered by other companies for use in conjunction with the JR EAST PASS will be discontinued on June 30, 2008. These are the JEP Izu Kyuko Pass, the JEP Hokuetsu Kyuko Pass, and the JEP Tobu Pass. |
Also from July 1, 2008, the JR EAST PASS and JAPAN RAIL PASS can be issued at Nagano Station View Plaza.
