Restoration of Shinanogawa Power Plant Facility

Supplement 4

The restoration of dams and embankments for the Asagawara, Yamamoto and Shin-Yamamoto Balancing Reservoirs commenced after authorization was received from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and briefings were conducted for local residents. The work is presently underway and we expect it to be completed in December 2005.
Regarding power generation using the balancing reservoirs, we are currently coordinating with the governmental agencies involved concerning tests to confirm the safety of these dams and embankments. We intend to resume operation sometime in the spring of 2006.
