Disclosure Policy

East Japan Railway Company (JR East) endeavors to secure the trust and understanding of all shareholders and other investors by maintaining initiative, timeliness, fairness and transparency in complying with the following matters in investor relations activity.

Standard of Disclosure

JR East discloses information in accordance with relevant laws and regulations such as the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, and the timely disclosure rules of its listed stock exchanges. JR East also takes the initiative to disclose information that it deems effective in garnering the understanding of all investors.

Method of Disclosure

Information within the purview of timely disclosure rules is disclosed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's TDnet. Such information disclosed on TDnet is also publicized proactively on JR East's website and by other means. Moreover, information outside the purview of timely disclosure rules is disclosed as fairly and widely as possible on JR East's website and by other means. Please refer to JR East's website along with TDnet for information.

Period of Silence

To prevent leakage of financial results information and ensure fairness, JR East maintains a period of silence for two weeks leading up to the announcement date of financial results, and refrains from issuing answers and comments in response to questions related to financial results. However, JR East may disclose information in accordance with the timely disclosure rules if expectations arise for material changes in financial forecasts during this period of silence. Moreover, JR East will continue to disclose information unrelated to financial results, and respond to questions related to previously announced information during this period of silence.
