Established in "basketball town" Noshiro, this popular spot has a large screen for watching basketball games and also a large collection of basketball-related materials from inside and outside Japan. Even people who are not basketball fans can enjoy a visit.

Noshiro Park as a whole takes the form of a small hill from which you can enjoy views of the Yoneshiro River, the Sea of Japan and the mountains of the Shirakami-Sanchi. Many people visit the park for the cherry blossom and azalea festivals held in spring.

The Perspiring Jizo stone statue at Koukyuji temple is said to give warning of an impending disaster by becoming damp all over in a way that makes it look like the statue is perspiring.
[Recommendation!]
A tea ceremony service by the Noshiro Shoyo Senior High School tea ceremony club is planned.

Extending along the coast of Noshiro, Kaze no Matsubara (Pine Grove of the Wind) is one of Japan's largest pine forests. A maximum of 1 kilometer wide from east to west, it stretches a total of 14 kilometers from north to south. The total land area is approximately 760 hectare (1,878 acres), which is equivalent to the area of 163 Tokyo Dome stadiums. A magnificent pine forest with seven million trees, it has been planted and tended since the Edo period (1603-1868) for protection against sand blown by strong winds from the sea. Still today, this pine forest continues to protect Noshiro.
