There are concerns that due to the mass retirement of maintenance staff for the tracks and civil engineering structures there will be a rapid decline in manpower and the technology and know-how we possess will be dispersed. Therefore, we developed effective educational software regarding technology succession in the area of inspection railway switches and crossing and steel bridges. In order to improve make the engineers' learning more effective, we included a function for virtual inspection using 3D models. We expect that utilizing this software will increase the technical skill levels of our young engineers and improve the reliability of our structure management.
