Accident-preventing countermeasures need to be taken before accidents occur, not afterwards. JR East is utilizing its own 4M4E analysis in its Safety Vision 2013 as a method of thoroughly analyzing JR East accidents and the root cause of those.
In order to further deepen understanding in the field of 4M4E analysis, Safety Research Laboratory developed both the analysis training software “Naze Naze Kun“, and analysis support tool “Horisage Kun“. By using these tools, rail transport personnel can make multidisciplinary analysis of the cause of the accident and find out the “root cause“ thus improving accident prevention measures to further increase rail transport safety. |
