Development of Equipment Information Notification Stations for TC Type Train Approach Alarm

Development of Equipment Information Notification Stations for TC Type Train Approach Alarm

A large number of man-hours were required to inspect the transmission stations for TC type train approach alarm equipment (hereafter "TC train alarm"), which notifies workers and other people that a train is approaching. This is due to the number of stations, and the fact that many are located in tunnels and mountainous areas.

The single and double track TC train alarm system uses wired connections to perform various types of information communication between control stations, transmission stations and communication stations. Equipment information notification stations that can perform checks remotely by extracting device information (serial numbers, etc.) from the communication data have been developed.

With this development, the time required for inspections can be reduced and safety can be improved through the elimination of the need for inspection work near railways.
